Description

ProHealth Staffing is Seeking a General Medicine Registered Nurse.

The General Medicine Register Nurse is a professional practitioner who manages and directs nursing care activities during the patient’s hospital stay and coordinates care planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient-driven approach.

  • Conducts an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on patient’s immediate condition.
  • Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by the patient’s condition and/or the client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
  • Develops a plan of care specifically for the patient.
  • Performs therapeutic nursing interventions for the patient and their family.
  • The General Medicine RN will also provide education to the patient and family based on the situation.
  • Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
  • Uses emergency resuscitation techniques on patients if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Diploma from an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification required.
  • Registered Nursing License: Current In-State license in good standing or Compact Nursing License.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, departmental team player, and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills at an individual and team level, ability to be flexible, and adjust quickly and react positively to change.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles, practices and current trends in nursing, positive attitude and good work ethics.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality. 
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
