ProHealth Staffing is seeking a Social Worker. 

The Social Worker will offer guidance and counseling to people in crisis. Their clients range from the unemployed to children who need foster homes to elderly people who have no one to care for them. They help their clients obtain government funds, education, or treatment. Often they begin legal action in cases of child abuse. They may counsel young people whose parents have died or families who have lost all their possessions in floods or other disasters.

  • Group work brings together people who have problems in common, such as unwed mothers.
  • Social workers help them solve those problems through discussions and well-planned activities.
  • Community organization work usually has specific goals—finding jobs for idle high school students, for example.
  • Help parents to find special education services for a developmentally challenged preschooler.
  • Work in collaboration with other healthcare givers to evaluate the medical or physical condition of the patients
  • Evaluate needs of the patient
  • Counsel patients on how to overcome their conditions and avoid dependencies as they recuperate from their illness
  • Help patients to adjust back to normal life
  • Evaluate and suggest the appropriate type of in-home help required by a newly discharged patient
  • Work together with other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team

Qualifications:

  • State LMSW License required
  • Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
  • Must have BLS certification
  • Medical death and dying experience
  • LMSW Experience
